any person who shall or may hereafter be committed to jail
aforesaid for the non-payment of any fine and costs above nve
hundred dollars, who shall have remained in custody aforesaid
for the space of six months, shall be discharged from further
imprisonment on account of said fine and costs.

CHAPTER 88.
AN ACT to authorize and require the County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County to build a bridge over Long Cove,
a branch of Curtis bay, in Anne Arundel County, and to
provide by taxation the means for building the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
county be and they are hereby authorized, required and

directed forthwith to cause a good and substantial bridge, not
less than twenty-four feet in width, for travel for man or beast,
to be constructed across Long cove, a branch of Curtis bay, in
Anne Arundel county, from the foot of a county road known
as Patapsco avenue, on the west side of said Long cove, to the
most practical and convenient point or place on the opposite
side of said cove; and they are hereby authorized to adopt
such plans and make such contracts, and to do such acts as may
be necessary for the erection, construction and completion of
such bridge.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners shall

be required to give bond for the faithful performance of his
contract.
