LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Correction, the sum of eighty thousand dollars ; to the Mary-
land Penitentiary, the sum of three hundred thousand dollars;
to the Second Hospital for the Insane, the sum of two hundred
and twenty thousand dollars ; to the Board of Trustees of the
Fifth Regiment Armory, the sum of three hundred thousand
dollars; being the amount authorized to said institutions by the
Acts of the General Assembly of 1898, in the Act providing
for the consolidation loan of 1899, and payable out of the cash
proceeds of the sale of the bonds therein provided for the
above institutions.
MISCELLANEOUS.
To the members of the Appeal Tax Court of Baltimore city,

for making out the list of the holders of Baltimore city stock, two
hundred dollars each, six hundred dollars ; to the Register of
Baltimore city, for collecting the State tax on Baltimore city
stock, three hundred dollars; to the person employed to take
care of the Court of Appeals room, one hundred dollars ; to
the Secretary of the Senate and the Chief Clerk of the House
of Delegates, for salaries during the recess of the Legislature,
three hundred dollars each, six hundred dollars ; for printing
the annual report of the Comptroller of the Treasury, for the
fiscal year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, the sum of one
thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary; for
repairs to public buildings and grounds in the city of Annapolis,
the sum of two thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may
be necessary, said sum to be expended under the direction of
the Governor ; for the postage for the Executive Department,
Land Office, the Treasury Department, Secretary of the Senate
and Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates, twelve hundred and
fifty dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary ; for fuel
and lights for the public buildings and grounds, to be expended
under the direction and control of the Governor, eight thou-
sand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary ; for the
salary of an additional fireman, the sum of six hundred dol-
lars per annum; for salaries and expenses of veterinary inspec-
tors and for appraised value of animals or buildings destroyed
to prevent the spread of infectious or contagious diseases
among live stock, ten thousand dollars, or so much thereof as
may be necessary ; for clerical services rendered State Board
of Appeals, three hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may
be necessary ; to the Mayor of the city of Annapolis, for the
use of the fire department of said city, one hundred and fifty
dollars ; for repairs to and furnishing of the Executive Man-
sion, five thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be neces-
sary ; for support of insane convicts, as provided for by chap-
