Chapter 530.

AN ACT to refund to Harry M. Cox, late col-
lector of taxes for second district of Anne
Arundel county, the sum of twenty-eight dol-
lars and seventy-four cents for money paid
into the treasury of the State of Maryland in
excess of the amount due by him to the State
of Maryland for taxes for the year eighteen
hundred and eighty-four.

WHEREAS it appears by the books of the comp-
troller's office that Henry M. Cox, collector of
taxes for Anne Arundel county, has paid into

the treasury of the State of Maryland the sum
of twenty-eight dollars and seventy-four cents in
excess of the amount due by him for state taxes
for the year eighteen hundred and eighty-four ;
and whereas, the treasury officers of the State of
Maryland have recommended the passage of a
law refunding the said sum of money to said col-
lector ; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the treasurer of the

State of Maryland be and is hereby required,
upon the warrant of the comptroller of the State
of Maryland, to pay to Henry M. Cox the sum
of twenty-eight dollars and seventy-four cents,
out of any moneys in the treasury of the State
of Maryland not otherwise appropriated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
