Chapter 480.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the county
commissioners of Dorchester county, provided
a majority of said commissioners deem it wise
and proper, to build a bridge over Transqua-
kin river at Bestpitch Ferry landing, in said
county.

SECTION 1 . Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the county commissioners

for the passage of boats navigating the waters
of said river, in said county.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That if a majority

build or construct said bridge, they are hereby
authorized and empowered, and directed to ad-
vertise at least four times in two of the news-
papers of said county for sealed proposals to
build or construct said bridge, and shall give it
to the lowest responsible bidder, who shall be
required to give bond and security, to be ap-
proved by said county commissioners.
