Chapter 462.

AN ACT to refund to James H. Alvey, late col-
lector of taxes for the fifth election district of St.
Mary's county, the sum of twelve dollars and
ten cents, for money paid into the treasury of
the state in excess of the amount due by him
for state taxes for eighteen hundred and
eighty-five.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the comptroller be and
he is hereby directed to issue his warrant upon
the treasurer for twelve dollars and ten cents, to
pay James H. Alvey for money paid by him
into the treasury as collector of taxes for the fifth
election district of St. Mary's county for the year
eighteen hundred and eighty-five, in excess of
the amount due by him as collector aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 5, 1888.
