Chapter 460.
AN ACT to amend the incorporating act of the
town of Berlin, Worcester county.

Additional
section.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the following addi-
tional section be added to article twenty-three,
Maryland Code of Public Local Laws, entitled
"Worcester County," to be known as section
sixteen A.
SEC. 16A. And be it enacted, That said commis-

sioners shall have full powers to make such or-
dinances and regulations as they may deem ex-
pedient for the comfort, health and safety of
said town, relating to the condition, location and
construction of all buildings of whatever kind,
whether erected or proposed ; and failure to com-
ply with such ordinances and regulations within
thirty days after being notified of the same, in
writing, shall be punishable by a fine of not less
than twenty dollars nor more than one hundred
dollars.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 461.
AN ACT to change the names of the tributaries
of the Choptank river, known as " Harris'
creek," to "Harris river;" and "Broad creek,"
to "Broad river ;" to change the name of the
tributary of St. Michaels river, known as
"Leeds creek," to "Leeds river;" and to
change the name of the tributary of Wye
river, known as "Skipton creek," to "Skip-
ton river," all in Talbot county.
