Chapter 463.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the mayor
and city council of Baltimore city to levy cer-
tain sums of money to pay David N. Henning,
the state's attorney for Carroll county, for pro-
fessional services.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the mayor and city

council are hereby authorized and empowered to
levy upon the assessable property of said city a
sum of money sufficient to pay David N. Hen-
ning, the state's attorney for Carroll county, the
sum of three hundred dollars for professional
services rendered as such attorney in the case of
the State of Maryland against James Kennedy
and John Burke, Jr., removed for trial from Bal-
timore city to said county.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 464.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ment section forty-six of article twenty-four
of the Code of Public General Laws, title
" Conveyancing."

Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That section forty-six of article
twenty-four of the Code of Public General Laws,
title " Conveyancing," be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
46. Bills of sale shall be recorded in the county

or city where the vendor or donor resides with-
in twenty days from the date thereof. If the
vendor or donor resides out of this state, and the
personal property conveyed by such bill of sale
is located in this state, then such bill of sale
shall be recorded in the county where such prop-
