not otherwise provided for, shall be recovered
before a justice of the peace for said county
resident in said town, in the name of the com-
missioners, and applied to the benefit of said
town, and in all such proceedings the bailiff
shall have the same power to proceed in the
same manner and have the same fees as con-
stables, and for police duties shall be entitled to
the same fees as constables, and all process shall
be returnable before some justice of the peace
resident in said town.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to extend the corporate existence of the
Gray Manufacturing Company.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the corporate existence of
the Gray Manufacturing Company, which was
incorporated by chapter two hundred and seven-
ty-one of the acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland passed at the December session, eigh-
teen hundred and forty-four, be and the same
hereby is extended for the period of forty years
from the expiration of said original charter.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.
