Chapter 68.
AN ACT to enable the judges of the circuit
court of Calvert county to make certain
recommendations.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
|
|
|
|
sembly of Maryland. That within thirty days
before the levy term of each year of the county
commissioners of Calvert county, the state's
attorney for Calvert county shall make out and
present to the judges of the circuit court of
Calvert county, or any one of them, a full and
accurate statement of all charges and claims
for work performed as state's attorney for the
year ending at the date of making of the said
statement, and the said judges or judge shall
examine said statement and fix and determine
what shall be a proper and adequate compensa-
tion to the said state's attorney for the work

therein set forth, and shall certify the said
amount to the county commissioners of Calvert
county within ten days of said levy terms, to be
levied at the next ensuing levy for the use of the
said state's attorney ; provided, however, that
such recommendations, so far as aforesaid to be
made, shall not bind the said commissioners,

but they shall have full power to increase or
diminish the said amount at their sound dis-
cretion.

acts repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or
parts of acts inconsistent with the provisions
of this act be and the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
