Chapter 413.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
Wm. S. Taylor and company for lumber fur-
nished for state tobacco warehouse, number
two.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

sembly of Maryland, That the comptroller of the
treasury of Maryland be and he is hereby author-
ized and directed to issue his warrant upon the
treasurer of Maryland for the sum of fifteen dol-
lars and twelve cents, which sum is hereby
appropriated to pay William S. Taylor and com-
pany for lumber furnished to state tobacco ware-
house, number two, as per certificate of Augustus
Hall, inspector.

Appropriation

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 414.

AN ACT to incorporate the Maryland Confer-
ence of the Church of the United Brethren in
Christ.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the ministers, officers

United Brethren in Christ, in the State of Mary-
land and the District of Columbia, be and they
are hereby declared to be a body corporate under
the name and style of the "Maryland Confer-
ence of the United Brethren in Christ."
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said in-
corporation shall have perpetual succession, and

church of the United Brethren in Christ and
such rules, by-laws and regulations as may,
from time to time, be adopted by the Maryland
conference of said church, with authority to sue
and liability to be sued in any of the courts in
the State of Maryland.
