LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said cor-
poration shall have power to receive, sue for and

recover any gift, devise or legacy given, granted
or devised unto it, and to have and hold the
same, together with the right to hold by lease,
grant or devise any real, personal estate or
property according to the laws and constitution
of the state, with full power to lease, sell, grant
and dispose of the same, and to do all other acts
and things that maybe devised expedient for the
government of the interest and the regulations
of the business of the said incorporation.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

thirty of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Crimes and Punishments," and to pre-
vent fraudulent sales of any variety of new or
novel seeds or agricultural products.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for any

of any person or persons, company or firm, to sell
or offer for sale or traffic in the State of Maryland
any variety of new or novel seed, such as wheat,
oats, corn, rye, clover seed, grass seeds or other
agricultural products, or any variety of the
same, claiming or representing the same to
be new, novel or excelling in quality or produc-
tiveness the ordinary seeds or agriculture pro-
ducts in general cultivation without first filing
with the clerk of the circuit court for the county
in which such sale or sales, or traffic of such seed
or any of them, or other agricultural products is
proposed to be made, a written statement of the
kind of seed or agricultural product offered for
sale or traffic, with a full description of the same
and the advantages claimed for the same over
