SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 300.

AN ACT to protect wild wate'r-fowl, and to pre-
vent fishing with net or seine at certain sea-
sons, in that part of the Chesapeake bay and
its tributaries lying northward of certain lines.

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That no person shall, from the

fifteenth day of October to the thirty-first day of
December in each year, fish with seine or net of
any kind within the waters of the Chesapeake
bay or its tributaries lying northward by the
following line, that is to say, beginning at the
light house on Turkey Point, in Cecil county,
and running thence westwardly to the most
northerly point of Spesutia island, in Harford
county, and thence west to the mainland in said
last named county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, &c., That no

by net or nets of any kind within any of the

Harford or Baltimore counties, or within any of
