SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the bonds so
issued, as herein provided, shall be exempt from
all taxation of any kind.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the county

commissioners of Caroline county be and they
are hereby authorized to levy and assess upon
the taxable property of the said county a sum
sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds, and
to pay the principal thereof at maturity.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 355.

AN ACT to repeal sections forty-six, forty-
seven and forty-eight of the act of eighteen
hundred and seventy-six, chapter one hundred
and forty of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, repealing and re-enacting with amend-
ments article eight of Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Cecil county," and relating to
Chesapeake City ; and also repealing an act enti-
tled "An act to repeal section forty-six of article
eight of Code of Public Local Laws relating
to the collectors of taxes, fines and forfeitures
in Chesapeake City," passed April eighteen
hundred and sixty-one, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That sections forty-six,
forty-seven and forty-eight of the act of eighteen :
hundred and seventy-six, chapter one hundred
and forty, relating to the appointment of a
bailiff and constable, collectors of taxes, etc.,
be and the same are hereby repealed and re-
enacted so as to read as follows :

SEC. 46. The said president and commissioners
may from time to time, under such conditions
as they may by their ordinances direct, appoint
