Chapter 47.

AN ACT to authorize the county commissioners
of Dorchester county to purchase from one to
five acres of ground for a public cemetery.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

authorized and directed to purchase from one to
five acres of land located near and convenient

How to be
kept.

to the town of Cambridge, to be used and dedi-
cated as a public cemetery for the burial of the
poor, and to be called "The Dorchester Public
Cemetery." The said commissioners, after pur-
chasing said suitable lot, shall have the same
properly enclosed and continually kept in proper
order for the aforesaid use.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 48.

AN ACT to repeal sections three and four of
chapter one hundred and sixty-five, acts of
eighteen hundred and eighty, entitled "An
act to authorize and require the county com-
missioners of Anne Arundel county to build a
bridge over the Severn river in Anne Arundel
county," &c.; and chapter four hundred and
seventy-six of the acts of eighteen hundred
and eighty-four, so far as amendatory of said
sections, and to re-enact said sections with
amendments, so as to make said bridge a free
bridge.

Repealed and
re-enacted.
