and required to levy and appropriate of the thirty
cents of tax authorized by section one hundred
and forty-three H of said charter, and not other-
wise specifically appropriated by said section one
hundred and forty-three H, as much thereof as
may be necessary for the purpose of raising the
amount to be paid under any such contract or
lighting, and the said sum of money so collected
from said tax as aforesaid, appropriated or levied
with the sums received from pro-rata apportion-
ment to the same as provided by section one hun-
dred and twenty-three of the charter, shall con-
stitute a separate fund, to be kept, applied and
drawn in the same manner and form as the sums
collected from the said taxes of eight cents.

Chapter 46.

AN ACT to give to the Association of the
Maryland Line the use of the property and
buildings of the Pikesville Arsenal, in Balti-
more county, Maryland, for the benefit of
disabled and destitute confederate soldiers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That the use of the property
and buildings at the Pikesville Arsenal, in Bal-
timore county, which were accepted by the
Governor by virtue of the act of eighteen hun-
dred and eighty, chapter five, for such pur-
poses as the state may require, is hereby trans-
ferred to the "Association of the Maryland
Line," to be used by it for the benefit of such
disabled and destitute confederate soldiers as it
may admit ; the said association to have the
use of the said property as long as the same is
needed by it for the purposes aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Approved February 17, 1888.
