any such liquors at any place in Harford county
other than upon the premises named in said
applicant's written affidavit, and no such license
shall authorize sales by any person who shall
neglect the requirements or violate the provis-
ions of this section.
SEC. 154. Any person buying spirituous or fer-

mented liquors, or intoxicating drink of any
kind, without first ascertaining that the person
selling such has a license to sell the same, shall
be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction
thereof, before any justice of the peace of Har-
ford county, shall pay a fine of not less than five
dollars nor more than ten dollars ; provided,
however, that any person who shall be used as
evidence to convict any one selling, without
license shall be relieved from said fine, and no
testimony given by him shall be used to crimi-
nate him in any other proceeding.
SEC. 155. No license for the sale of spirituous

or fermented liquors shall be granted to any fe-
male, or to a person under the age of twenty-one
years ; nor shall any person licensed under this
act employ any female or minor as a bartender,
agent or clerk to sell, give or deliver spirituous
or fermented liquors, or intoxicating drinks of

at his place of business.
SEC. 156. Any person licensed under this act,

ment and conviction thereof, be fined not less

dollars, or be imprisoned in the county jail for
not less than thirty days nor more than three
