Chapter 284.
AN ACT to add an additional section to article
four of the Code of Public Local Laws of the
State of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore,"
sub-title "Vagrants," designated nine hun-
dred and eight A.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

sembly of Maryland, That an additional section,
designated nine hundred and eight A, be added
to article four of the Code of Public Local Laws
of the State of Maryland, title "City of Balti-
more," sub-title "Vagrants," to follow after
section nine hundred and eight and to read as
follows :
908A. Police officers, acting on the request of

any person, or upon their own information or
belief, shall, without a warrant, arrest and
carry before a police justice for examination
any such pauper, habitual beggar, vagrant,
vagabond or disorderly person, and make com-
plaint against him or her ; provided that in all
cases where such arrest is made on request of
any person and without warrant, the officer
making the arrest shall require the person
requesting it to forthwith appear before said
police justice and prefer a charge, under oath,
against the person so arrested.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

council of Baltimore to regulate the grades
of streets, lanes and alleys in the city of
Baltimore.
