Chapter 366.
AN ACT to repeal chapter two hundred and
thirty-three of acts of eighteen hundred and
eighty-two, entitled "An act to repeal chapter
three hundred and seventy-eight of the acts
passed at January session of eighteen hun-
dred and seventy-six, as amended by chapter
six of the acts passed at January session,
eighteen hundred and seventy-eight, entitled
An act to protect fish in Blackwater river, in
Dorchester county.' "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That chapter three hundred

and seventy-eight of acts passed at January
session, eighteen hundred and seventy-six, as
amended by chapter six of the acts passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and seventy-
eight, as amended by chapter two hundred and
thirty-three of the acts passed at the January
session, eighteen hundred and eighty-two,
entitled "An act to protect fish in Blackwater
river, in Dorchester county," be and the same
is hereby repealed and the following enacted in
lieu thereof :
SEC. 2. That it shall be unlawful for any per-
son or persons to use patent twine weirs, or

other twine weirs, pound-nets, or with hauling
seines of greater length than three hundred
and fifty feet, for the taking or catching of
fish in the following waters of Dorchester
county : Fishing bay, Honga river, Black-
water river and its tributaries, Little Chop-
tank river and its tributaries (provided that
the provisions of this act shall not apply to that
portion of the Little Choptank river known as
Oyster creek or bay), or to fasten or stick stakes
in that part of Blackwater river lying between
a line drawn from Grog point to the opposite
side of the river, and a line drawn from Berges'
ditch to the opposite side of the river, except in
the bends of said river where stake weirs now
exist.
