The crier of the circuit court of Frederick county

shall be entitled to and receive, as a salary, pay
of four hundred and eighty dollars per annum,
in sums of forty dollars per month, which shall
be in full and in lieu of an allowance now au-
thorized by law, and the commissioners of Fred-
erick county are authorized and directed, at
their next meeting for laying county levy, and
annually thereafter, to levy, for the use of the
crier of said court, on the assessable property of
said county such sums of money as they shall
deem sufficient to pay the above salary of the said
crier of said court, upon presentation to the coun-
ty commissioners of said county the certificate
of the clerk of said court, certifying the attend-
ance of said crier, shall be entitled to receive
his salary monthly in cash, and the said county
commissioners are directed, upon presentation
thereof, to pay the same.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That in case the per-
son appointed as crier of said circuit court should
be designated as librarian of the public law
library of said court, he shall receive, as libra-
rian, the sum of ten dollars per month, to be paid
in like manner as provided in the first section of
this act.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all local laws,
inconsistent herewith, are hereby repealed.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
