impleaded, to make and use a common seal and
to alter the same at pleasure ; and may acquire,
have, hold, possess, use and enjoy upon the
trust and for the uses and purposes of said cor-
poration by purchase, gift, grant, devise or be-
quest real, personal and mixed property where-
soever the same may be situated, whether
within or without the State of Maryland, and
the same to alien, sell and transfer absolutely,
or conditionally, at pleasure.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the principal
office of said body corporate shall be in the city
of Baltimore, in the State of Maryland.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the object and
purposes of said corporation are the education

hood, also for church and school work. In
order that the object and purposes of the said
corporation may be attained, the trustees are
hereby authorized to use and employ its prop-
erty or the income thereof, or both, in the main-
tenance, support and education of the young
men studying for the priesthood ; and also in
building churches and schools in and out of the
State of Maryland.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the manage-
ment of said corporation, and of its business

act, and their successors, to be chosen as here-
inafter provided for, who shall be known as the
trustees of said corporation, and the said corpo-
ration is hereby given full power to increase the

removed by a majority of their number, and in
event of the death of one, the said trustees are

vacancy, but a failure to elect a trustee or trus-
tees to fill any vacancy or vacancies occurring
in their number shall not work a forfeiture of
this charter, or of the privileges hereby granted,
