LAWS OF MARYLAND.

What must bo
complied with

be made until the said James M. Holland and
William H. Butler shall have complied with all
the requirements of chapter one hundred and
fifty-seven of the acts of eighteen hundred and
eighty-four, and chapter eighty of the acts of
eighteen hundred and eighty-six.

Effective.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Chapter 198.

AN ACT to repeal section three of chapter one
hundred and seventy of the acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January
session, eighteen hundred and eighty-four,
entitled "An act to regulate the running of
Traction Engines on the Public Roads of the
State," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

re-enacted so as to read as follows :

engine at least three hundred yards to warn per-
sons riding or driving upon any public road, of
the approach of said engine, and shall assist such
person or persons in the management of any
horse or horses that may require his assistance to
control the same.
