cast be "For water-works," the said commis-
sioners of Centreville shall be forthwith author-
ized and empowered to exercise the authority
vested in them by the provisions of this act ;
and the cost and expense of said election shall
be paid by the town of Centreville, and the
qualified voters of said town shall be construed
to mean those who are entitled to vote under
section thirty-two, chapter one hundred and
eighteen, of the laws of eighteen hundred and
seventy-eight.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the commis-

sioners of Centreville, if the vote taken as
aforesaid shall be in favor of the issuing of
bonds for the erection of water-works as here-
inbefore provided, shall be and they are hereby
authorized and empowered to negotiate, sell or
dispose of said bonds, or as many thereof as
they shall deem proper, and with the proceeds
thereof to erect, or provide for the erection,
building, working, running, maintaining and

keeping in repair of said water-works. And they
are furthermore fully authorized to make all
necessary rules and regulations, and to pass all
necessary ordinances, with penalties for their
violation, and to do all other necessary acts
for the proper managing, maintaining, running
and repairing of said water-works, and for the
proper protection and security thereof.

Effective.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
