Code of Public Local Laws of the State of Mary-

land, entitled "Frederick County," sub-title
"Justices of the Peace and Constables," be
amended by adding thereto a new section, to
follow section one hundred and eighty-seven, to
be known as secti9n one hundred and eighty-
seven A, and to be read as follows :

How amended

SEC. 187A. Whenever the county commission-
ers for Frederick county shall create and estab-
lish any new election districts, in said county,
there shall be appointed, by the proper authori-
ties, two justices of the peace and two consta-
bles for each election district so established.

What to ap-
point.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Approved March 31, 1888.

Chapter 100.

AN ACT to authorize and empower A. H. Dow-
den, register of wills for Allegany county, to
re-index administration and guardian ac-
counts in the general index, in the register of
wills office for said county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

bly of Maryland, That A. H. Dowden, register of
wills for Allegany county, be and he is hereby
authorized and empowered to re-index adminis-
tration and guardian accounts in the "General
Index," in the register of wills office for said,
and the expense incurred by said re-indexing to
be paid out of the surplus proceeds of the regis-
ter of wills office, and if there be no such sur-
plus, then the county commissioners of said
county may, in their discretion, pay the said A.
H. Dowden, register of wills, for said re-index-
ing, such fees as they may deem a fair and
reasonable compensation for said work ; pro-
vided, however, that the sum allowed for said
work shall riot exceed six hundred dollars.
