Chapter 148.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the Peoples'
Railway Company by reducing the par value
of the shares of its capital stock.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
|

sembly of Maryland, That the par value of the
shares of the capital stock of the Peoples' Rail-
way Company be reduced to twenty dollars per
share, and that such number of shares of such
reduced value shall be issued to the present
holders of the capital stock of said company as
will be equal to the amount of capital stock now
held by them.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT for the further protection of partridges
and quail in Worcester and Wicomico coun-
ties.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That no person, corporation or

sale, transport or have in possession, any part-

any purpose except for consumption as food,
within Worcester or Wicomico counties, nor kill,
expose for sale, or have in possession, any of the

provided, that nothing herein shall prevent the
barter or sale of such game for home consump-
tion only by residents of said counties within the
