Chapter 146:
AN ACT to refund to D. Luther Bradford, late
collector of taxes for Howard county, the sum
of eighteen dollars and sixty-nine cents, for
money paid into the treasury of Maryland for
taxes for the year eighteen hundred and eighty-
five.
WHEREAS, it appears by the books of the
treasury department of the State of Maryland,

that D. Luther Bradford, collector of taxes for
Howard county, has paid into the treasury
of the State of Maryland the sum of eighteen
dollars and sixty-nine cents in excess of the
amount due by him for state taxes for the year
eighteen hundred and eighty-five ; and where-
as the treasury officers of the State of Mary-
land have recommended the passage of a law
refunding the said sum of money to said col-
lector ; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That the treasurer of the
State of Maryland be and is hereby required,
upon the warrant of the comptroller of the State
of Maryland, to pay D. Luther Bradford the sum
of eighteen dollars and sixty-nine cents out of
any money in the treasury of the State of Mary-
land not otherwise appropriated.
