Chapter 141.
AN ACT to pay to Joseph Zittle, of Washington
county, the sum of three hundred dollars, as
bounty due to him under the acts of eighteen
hundred and sixty-four, chapter fifteen and
chapter three hundred and seventy-two of the
act of eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, re-
lating to the encouragement of enlistments
into the Maryland regiments in the service of
the United States.
WHEREAS Joseph Zittle, of Washington coun-
ty, was duly enlisted as a member of com-

pany G, Fifth Maryland Infantry, and as such
member was entitled to the sum of three hun-
dred dollars as bounty, provided for in chapter
fifteen of the acts of eighteen hundred and sixty-
four and chapter three hundred and seventy-two
of the acts of eighteen hundred and sixty-seven,
and, whereas, the said sum of three hundred
dollars was paid by the treasurer of this state
to Lister and Supplee, and R. P. Gustin and com-
pany upon a warrant, issued by the comptroller,
based upon forged powers of attorney, and the
said Joseph Zittle has never received said three
hundred dollars ; therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General As-

sembly of Maryland, That the comptroller is
hereby directed to issue his warrant upon the
treasurer for the payment of three hundred dol-
lars to Joseph Zittle, out of any money in the
treasury not otherwise appropriated.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from, the date of its passage.
