Chapter 140.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Presby-
terian Eye and Ear Charity Hospital as incor-
porated by the act of eighteen hundred and
eighty-two, chapter four hundred and ninety-
three, by changing the name of said corpora-
tion into the Presbyterian Eye, Ear and Throat
Charity Hospital, and allowing an increase of
the number of governors thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the charter of the Pres-
byterian Eye and Ear Charity Hospital, a cor-

poration incorporated by the act of eighteen

and ninety-three, be and the same is hereby
amended by changing the name of the said cor-
poration into the Presbyterian Eye, Ear and
Throat Charity Hospital, and that the number of
the board of governors shall be prescribed by the
by-laws of said corporation, said governors to
be elected by the board of governors constituted
by said charter and its successors, at such times
and in such a manner as it may determine.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That said

pital, by said name, shall have and exercise and
possess, all and singular, the franchises, rights,
corporate powers, privileges and property of the
said Presbyterian Eye and Ear Charity Hospital,
and that a copy of the resolutions of acceptance
of the provisions of this act, attested under the
corporate seal of said corporation, shall be
lodged with the secretary of state within
sixty days after the passage hereof, and a copy
of the same duly attested by the secretary of
state shall be evidence in all courts of law or
equity of the due acceptance of this act.

Duration
and effective.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the
duration of said corporation shall be unlimited,
and that this act shall take effect from the date
of its passage.
