Chapter 137.
AN ACT to repeal chapter two hundred and
seven of the acts of eighteen hundred and
eighty, entitled " An act to add additional sec-
tions to the Code of Public Local Laws of Som-
erset County, entitled 'Revenue and Taxes,' "
and enact the following in lieu thereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

be and the same is hereby repealed, and the fol-
lowing enacted in lieu thereof :
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the following

to the Code of Public Local Laws of Somerset
county, to be entitled "Revenue and Taxes,"
and to read as follows, viz.: That on and after
the first day of January, eighteen hundred and
eighty-nine.
SEC. 1. The county of Somerset is hereby divid-

ed into four collection districts, as follows : The
first to be composed of Princess Anne, Dublin,
Fairmount and Mount Vernon election districts ;
the second, of St. Peter's Dames-quarter and
Tangier election districts; the third, Brinkley's
Lawson and Crisfield election districts ; and the
fourth, of Smith's Island election district.
SEC. 2. That the county commissioners of said
county shall, on or before the second Tuesday in

April, in each year, beginning on the second
Tuesday of April in the year eighteen hundred
and eighty-nine, appoint a collector of state and
county taxes for each of said collection districts,
who shall execute to the State of Maryland, on

formance of
duty.

or before the second Tuesday of May then next
succeeding, a good and sufficient bond to be ap-
proved by the county commissioners, in a penalty
double the amount of the state taxes that will be
entrusted to him for collection, and conditioned
for the true and faithful performance of his duty
as collector, and, in like manner, on or before the
second Tuesday of June, in the same year, an-
other bond to the State of Maryland, to be also
approved by the county commissioners, in a pen-
