covert or otherwise ; and said tax may be col-
lected by judgment or attachment, or the col-
lector may sell real estate for payment of taxes
due thereon, by complying with the same re-
quirements that county collectors are directed
to comply with by the general laws of this state,
in order to sell real estate for the payment of
state and county taxes, except that advertise-
ment in one newspaper published in the town of
Frostburg shall be deemed sufficient advertise-
ment, and the. sale shall take place in front of
the postoffice of said town.
SEC. 31. And be it enacted, That the mayor

and councilmen of Frostburg shall have power
to require license from all circuses, theatrical
and other exhibitions for gain, exhibiting in said
town; they shall have power to require license
from the owner or keeper of any horse, cart,
hack, wagon, dray and every description of
wheel vehicle and carriage kept for hire in said
town ; also from auctions, stores, hawkers and
peddlers.
SEC. 35. And be it enacted, That the revised,

codified and printed ordinances of the mayor and
councilmen of Frostburg, adopted by said mayor
and councilmen on the tenth day of August,
eighteen hundred and eighty-five, be and the
same are hereby declared valid and binding, and
the printed copy thereof issued by authority
and under the sanction of said body, shall be
legal evidence of the passage and of the con-
tents of the ordinances contained therein in any
court of law or equity in this state, and the said
mayor and councilmen may, at anytime, provide
by ordinance for the codification or re-codifica-
tion of such ordinances as have been or may
hereafter be passed by them, and for the print-
ing for such codification or re-codification
thereof, and the printed copy thereof issued by
authority and under the sanction of said body,
shall be legal evidence of the passage of said or-
dinances and the contents thereof in any court
of law or equity in this state.

Declared valid
and binding.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
go into effect immediately upon its passage.
