SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That for the expenditures in the support of the
State Government for the fiscal year beginning with the first
day of October, eighteen hundred and ninety-five, and ending
with the thirtieth day of September, eighteen hundred, and
ninety six, the following sums of money, cr so much thereof as
may be necessary, be and the same are hereby appropriated ;
that is to say :

Salaries of

officers.

For the salary of the Governor, four thousand and five
hundred dollars; for the salary of the Secretary of State, two
thousand dollars; for the salary of the messenger of the
Governor, one thousand dollars; for the salary of the Comp-
troller of the Treasury, two thousand and five hundred dollars ;
for the salary of the chief clerk to the Comptroller, eighteen
hundred dollars; for the salaries of two assistant clerks to the
Comptroller, fifteen hundred dollars each, three thousand
dollars; for the salaries of two assistant clerks to the Comp-
troller, twelve hundred dollars each, two thousand and
four hundred dollars; for the salary of the Treasurer of the
State, two thousand and five hundred dollars; for the salary
of the chief clerk to the Treasurer, eighteen hundred dollars ;
for the salaries of two assistant clerks to the Treasurer, each
twelve hundred dollars, making two thousand and four
hundred dollars; for the salary of one clerk to the State Tax
Commissioner, twelve hundred dollars; for the salary of the
State Librarian, fifteen hundred dollars; for the salary of the
Commissioner of the Land Office, fifteen hundred dollars; for
the salary of one clerk to the Commissioner of the Land
Office, twelve hundred dollars.
