and make a list thereof, which he shall furnish to the register
of voters for the said first election district, who shall tran-
scribe the same in a new registry of voters to be furnished by
the County Commissioners aforesaid, for the said new precinct
of the said first election district; and the said registers of voters
for said first and tenth election districts shall be allowed for
their services such compensation for such extra services as the
said County Commissioners shall think proper, not exceeding
the sum of ten dollars each.

Repeal.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all acts and parts of acts
inconsistent with the provisions of this act be and the same
are hereby repealed so far as the same are therein inconsistent.

Effective.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 601.

AN ACT to divide the Fourth or Parson's Creek Election
District of Dorchester County into two districts.

District No. 4
divided
into two
districts.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the fourth or Parson's creek election district
of Dorchester county, be and is hereby divided into two elec-
tion districts, to be called district No. 4 or Parson's creek dis-
trict, and district No. 16 or Madison district; and all that part
of the said fourth or Parson's creek district westward of a line
beginning with the head waters of Parson's creek and running
with Stewart's canal to its intersection with the head waters
of Black Water river, and with said river to the Big Black
Water bridge, shall constitute the new district No. 4, or Par-
son's creek district, with the voting place on Taylor's Island ;
and all that part of said fourth or Parson's creek district lying
to the eastward of said line of division, shall constitute the
16th or Madison district, and the voting place shall be at
Madison.

Voters to be
registered.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That all the voters qualified to
vote, residing within the area and lines of the said new
district No. 4, or Parson's creek, shall be registered in said
district by a register of voters, to be immediately appointed
