SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Thomas R. Jenifer, late sheriff of Baltimore
county, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay the
treasurer of the board of county school commissioners of
Baltimore county, for the use of the public schools of said
county, the proportion of fines remaining in his hands, and
which the said board of county school commissioners would
have been entitled under the Code of Public Local Laws of
1860.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

CHAPTER 556.

AN ACT to prohibit the shooting of wild water fowl from
sink boxes or sneak boats, or from any other boat or craft, on
the waters of the Elk and Bohemia rivers, in Cecil County,
and to repeal Sections 361 to 370, inclusive, of Article
eight of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Cecil
County," sub-title "Wild Fowl."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That on and after the first day of April, in the
year eighteen hundred and ninety-four, it shall be unlawful for
any person to shoot or shoot at any wild water fowl, from any
sink boat, sneak boat or any other boat, in the waters of Elk or
Bohemia rivers, in Cecil county; and any person violating this
section shall, upon conviction therefor before a justice of the

dollars, one-half of said fine to go to the informer and the
balance to the County Commissioners; and in case of the fail-
ure of any defendant to pay such fine and costs of prosecution,
he shall be committed to the jail of Cecil county until such
fines and costs are paid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Governor shall, with
the advice and consent of the Senate, appoint a special police-
