LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Effective.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

CHAPTER 542.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Sections
34 and 35 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Prince George's County," sub-title "Birds and Game."

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections 34 and 35 of article 17 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Prince George's County," sub-
title " Birds and Game," be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows:

sections 32
and 33.

34. Any person violating sections 32 or 33, shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof before a
justice of the peace in and for Prince George's county, shall
pay a fine of twenty-five dollars for each and every ortolan,
sora, rail-bird, partridge, woodcock, rabbit or robin shot or
taken; one-half of said fine to be paid to the informer, and the
remainder as directed in section 35 of this article; and on
failure, such fine and costs, the offender shall be committed to
the county jail or the house of correction for ten days, in the
discretion of the justice trying the cause.

Non-resident
to obtain
license.

35. It shall not be lawful for any person, not a bona fide
resident of said county, to shoot any partridge, woodcock or
rabbits, in said county, without having first obtained from the
clerk of the Circuit Court for said county, a license permitting
the person therein named to shoot said game in said county,
for one year from the day on which such license is issued, and
such license shall not be transferable. The person named
therein or parties procuring such license, shall pay to said

clerk therefor the sum of twenty dollars, which amount shall
be paid by said clerk to the board of school commissioners of
said county for the use of the public schools, and fifty cents
to the clerk as a i'ee for issuing such license; and any non-
resident convicted before a justice of the peace of said county
for gunning therein without such license, shall be fined
twenty -five dollars for each and every offence; on failure to
