duly organized under and by virtue of the general laws of this
State, be and the said corporation hereby is authorized and
empowered to sell or otherwise alien and convey all or any
part of its property, real or personal; provided, that a majority
of the surviving directors of said corporation shall, by corre-
spondence or otherwise, have assented to and authorized such
sale or other disposition of the property as aforesaid.

May dispose
of property.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That a deed in due
form of law purporting to convey the title of said corporation
to any real or leasehold property, executed under its corporate
seal and signed by Reverend Alfred Be Leeson as its presi-
dent, and acknowledged by an attorney therein named, in
manner and form as is by law provided in the case of acknowl-
edgments by corporate bodies, shall be valid and effectual in
law to vest in the grantee thereunder, all the title of the said
corporation, in and to the said real or leasehold property, and
shall be, in so far as it affects the said grantee, conclusively
presumed to have been executed in accordance with the first
section of this act; provided, that the said grantee shall have
acted in good faith in receiving such conveyance; and pro-
vided further, that nothing herein contained shall be con-
strued as releasing any other person than the said grantee,
whether an individual or a body politic or corporate, from his,
her or its full responsibility in the premises.

Deed to pur-
chaser.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

Effective.

CHAPTER 490.

AN ACT to repeal Sections one hundred and seven, one hun-
dred and eight, one hundred and nine and one hundred and
eleven of Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Cecil County," sub-title "County Commissioners," and to
re-enact said Section one hundred and seven with amend-
ments.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections one hundred and seven, one hundred
and eight one hundred and nine and one hundred and eleven
of article eight of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Cecil
