Repeal.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That section 218 of article 10,
Code of Public Local Laws, be and the same are hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

wherein such election has been held and such majority of
votes are cast, in respect to the issuing of licenses to sell spirit-
uous or fermented liquors therein, the sale thereof and the
penalties for the violation of law regulating the liquor traffic ;

and if a majority of votes are cast against license, then the
provisions of existing law as to such election district, shall
remain in every respect as provided by the act of 1878, chap-
ter 46ii, and amended by subsequent acts, and incorporated in
article 10, Code of Public Local Laws, under the act of 1888,
chapter 74.

Expenses of
election.
|
SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That all the expenses attend-
ing the holding of the special election provided for by this act,
shall be paid out of the treasury of said town by the Commis-
sioners of Cambridge.

Effective.
|
SEC. 14. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect,
except as therein provided for, from the date of its passage.
