LAWS OF MARYLAND.


Commissioners were by law authorized to expend for the year
1893; and,

Preamble.

WHEREAS, A levy for the whole amount of indebtedness for
said improvements at one time will be onerous to the tax-
payers of said district; therefore,

Mode of pav-
ing indebt-
edness.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
county be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
divide the amount of the indebtedness now appearing on the
books of their office, on account of repairs and improvements
of public roads in the fifth election district of said county,
into four equal parts, as near as may be, and shall issue interest-
bearing certificates for the payment of one-fourth of said
indebtedness, payable out of the levy for the year eighteen
hundred and ninety -four; one-fourth payable out of the levy
for the year eighteen hundred and ninety-five; one-fourth pay-
able out of the levy for the year eighteen hundred and ninety-
six, and the remaining one-fourth payable out of the levy for
the year eighteen hundred and ninety-seven, all of which
amounts shall be levied upon the assessable property of said
election district.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

CHAPTER 477.

AN ACT to authorize the owner of the Drum Point farm,
in Calvert County, to erect a gate on the public road run-
ning through said farm.

May erect a
gate.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the owner of the Drum Point farm, in Cal-
vert county, be and he is hereby authorized to erect a gate on
the public road running through said farm.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.
