trustees, establish schools of different grade, or the school dis-

tricts may be divided; and whenever the average attendance in
any school for two consecutive terms is less than seven pupils,
the said school may be closed by the board of county school
commissioners; provided, that the district school trustees may
keep the school open in part at the expense of the district, and
shall receive their proportion of the school fund for said school,
rating at a full school at twenty scholars.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 460.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Chapter 614 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at
the January session, 1890, amending certain sections of
Article 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Balti-
more County," sub-title "Health and Sanitary Officers," and
to re-enact the same with amendments and additions thereto.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 of chapter 614 of the
acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the
January session, 1890, be and the same arc hereby repealed
and re-enacted so as to read as follows :

Repeal.

. SEC. 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 117, 118, 119, 126, 128 and 131 of article
3 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Baltimore County,"
sub-title "Health and Sanitary Officers," be and the same are
hereby repealed, so far as the same relate to "Towsontown."

Repeal.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
of Baltimore county shall, on the first Tuesday in May, 1894,
and on the first Tuesday in May each, year thereafter, appoint
a proper person, as hereinafter directed, to be styled "The
Sanitary Commissioner of Towsontown," for a term of one
year; and the sanitary commissioner so appointed shall qualify
by giving a bond to the County Commissioners in the penal
sum of one thousand dollars, with conditions for the faithful
