hereby added to article 93 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland, title "Testamentary Law," sub-title "Wills,"
to follow section 316, to be designated section 316 A, and to
read as follows :

New section.
|
|
|
316 A. In all wills hereafter executed, the real estate of
every testator not specifically devised shall be chargeable with
the payment of pecuniary legacies, wherever the personal
estate, after the payment of debts, shall prove to be insufficient,
unless the contrary intention shall clearly appear.

CHAPTER 439.
AN ACT to prohibit the laying of railway tracks upon a por-
tion of North Caroline street, in the city of Baltimore,
without the consent of the General Assembly.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for any person or cor-
poration to lay any railway tracks upon North Caroline street,
between Preston street and East North avenue, without the
consent of the General Assembly of. Maryland; provided, that
this act shall not restrict in any way the right of any passenger
railway now incorporated, or that may hereafter be incorpo-
rated, to cross said street, where such railway company shall be
authorized by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to use
any street or avenue opening into said street.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
