CHAPTER 428.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments, Section
155 of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Anne Arundel County," sub-title " Fish, Crabs and Terra-
pins," as said section was re-enacted by Chapter 375 of the
Acts of 1890.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 155 of article 2 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title "Fish,
Crabs and Terrapins," as said section was re-enacted by chap-
ter 375 of the acts of 1890, be and the same are hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as
follows :

155. It shall not be lawful for any person in the fish-spawn-

ing season, that is to say, between the fifteenth day of Febru-
ary and the fifteenth day of April, in any year, to put, place,
erect, construct or use in the waters of Severn river, at any
point above Cedar Bar on the north side, and Bruff point on
the south side, or in any of the creeks, coves or tributaries of
said river, or between the first day of March and the first day
of May, in the water of South river above a straight line drawn
from Hodges wharf on one side of said river to Old
Woman's point on the other side thereof, or in any of the
creeks, coves and tributaries of either of said rivers, within
the time hereby limited, above points, -where any such creek,
cove or tributary is in its channel of a less depth than three
feet, or anywhere in Severn run or Severn river, any set net,
fish basket, fish pot, fish trap, set line, weir, pound net, fyke,
seine or drag net, or any other instrument or contrivance what-
soever, now known or used in the catching or destroying of fish,
or which hereafter may be invented for that purpose, or to
take, catch, capture or destroy, from, by or with the same, or
any of the same, except with hook and line.

from the date of its passage.
