Exemption.
|
SEC. 8. Be it enacted, That all cities, towns or boroughs in
which dogs are taxed by municipal ordinance are exempted
from the operation of this act.
|
|
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 9. Be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 427.
AN ACT to exempt the grounds of Agricultural Fair Asso-
ciation from the operation of Article 58 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Licenses," during
the annual exhibitions of such associations.

New section.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That an additional section be added to article fifty-
six of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Licenses," to read as follows :

Exempt from
license.
|
Any agricultural fair association duly incorporated under
the laws of the State, may hold on its grounds one annual
exhibition not exceeding six days, without the payment of any
license to the State of Maryland, city or county where held;
and any person or persons, association or organized company
to whom said agricultural fair association shall grant the privi-
lege to sell, barter, show, exhibit or in any way conduct any
lawful business on the grounds of said agricultural association
during any of its exhibitions, shall in the manner and during
the time of said exhibitions be exempt from the payment of
any State, county or municipal license.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
