CHAPTER 410.
AN ACT to amend the charter of the J. C. Orrick and Son
Company, of Cumberland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That in addition to the powers conferred on the
"J. C. Orrick and Son Company, of Cumberland," by its act
of incorporation, under the General Incorporation Laws of
the State of Maryland, approved by the Circuit Court for
Allegany county, on the second day of February, eighteen
hundred and eighty-seven, it is hereby authorized and em-
powered to carry on and prosecute a general wholesale grocery
and merchandising business, and to buy, sell, barter, manufac-
ture and put up for sale groceries and other merchandise, and
to sell, transport and otherwise dispose of the products of such
manufacturing or industrial business, and to carry on a for-
warding and warehousing business, and to import and export
from and to foreign countries said groceries or other mer-
chandise.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 411.
AN ACT to prohibit the sale of spirituous and fermented
liquors or lager beer within one and a-half miles of the
village of Hyattstown, Montgomery County, Maryland.

intoxicating
liquors shall
not be sold.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for the clerk of the
Circuit Court of Frederick county, Maryland, to issue license
to any person or persons to sell spirituous or fermented liquors
or lager beer, within one and a-half miles of the village of
Hyattstown, Montgomery county, Maryland.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from May first, eighteen hundred and ninety-four.
