Fifty-fifth. To the bequest of George Hammersmith, late
of Allegany county, Maryland, deceased, contained in his last
will and testament, probated and recorded in the office of the
register of wills of Allegany county, in Wills, Liber G., folio
4, to Augustus Haas, by the name and known in religion as
Reverend Father Marcus, of Saint Peter's and Saint Paul's
Roman Catholic Church of Cumberland, in words following,
to wit : "All the rest of my real estate, wherever the same may
be situated, not otherwise devised and bequeathed by me,"
with power to the said Augustus Haas to sell and convey the
same.

Fifty-sixth. To a deed executed by James W. Sindall and
wife to the Woodstock College of Baltimore county, dated the
thirtieth day of May, eighteen hundred and ninety-three, and
recorded among the land records of Baltimore city, in Liber J.
B., No. 1445, folio 433; and to an assignment of mortgage
executed by Charles H. Heichemer to said Woodstock College,
dated the twenty-sixth day of April, eighteen hundred and
ninety-three, and recorded among said land records in Liber J.
B., No. 1471, folio 407; and to the purchase of the mortgage
notes mentioned in said mortgage.

Fifty-seventh. To sundry assignments, conveyances and
transfers made by sundry persons and corporations to the cor-
poration of the Roman Catholic Clergymen, and hereunder :
No. 1, to a deed executed by the Woodstock College, of Balti-
more county, to the corporation of the Roman Catholic
Clergymen, of a lot of ground lying in Baltimore city and
the yearly rent issuing therefrom, said deed being dated the
second day of March, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and
recorded on that date among the land records of Baltimore
city; No. 2, to an assignment of mortgage executed by the
Woodstock College, of Baltimore county, to the corporation of
the Roman Catholic Clergymen, dated the second day of
March, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and recorded on
that date among the land records of Baltimore city, and the
assignment of the mortgage notes therein mentioned; No. 3,
to a mortgage executed by Charles C. Lancaster to the cor-
poration of the Roman Catholic Clergymen, dated the twenty-
fifth day of February, eighteen hundred and ninety-three, and
recorded among the land records of Charles county, in Libei
J. S. T., No. 5, folio 478, &c., and to the mortgage notei
therein recited; No. 4, to a deed executed by Michael A
Noel to the corporation of the Roman Catholic Clergymen, of
