CHAPTER 368.

AN ACT to refund to Mary E. Chesly, of St. Mary's County,
Maryland, a sum of money erroneously paid by her into the
treasury of the State.

Appropria-
tion.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller of the State be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to draw his warrant in favor of
Mary E. Chesly, of St. Mary's county, Maryland, for the sum
of four dollars and fifty-three cents, the same being the amount
overpaid into the treasury of the State by said Mary E. Chesly,
for the years 1882 to 1888, both inclusive, the same being
authorized by the officers of the treasury.

Effective.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.

CHAPTER 369.

AN ACT to refund to Samuel Riggs of R., of Montgomery
County, a sum of money erroneously paid by him into the
treasury of the State.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, Samuel Riggs of R., of Montgomery county,
erroneously paid to the collector of State taxes of said county,
the sum of thirteen dollars and two cents ($13.02), for the
years eighteen hundred and eighty-three, eighteen hundred
and eighty-four, eighteen hundred and eighty five, eighteen
hundred and eighty-six, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven,
eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, eighteen hundred and
eighty-nine, and eighteen hundred and ninety, the proportion of
the county taxea on the same assessment for the years men-
tioned, has been refunded to him, the said Samuel Riggs of
R., by authority given to the County Commissioners of Mont-
gomery county, by chapter 566, acts of Assembly of eighteen
undred and ninety-two.

Appropria-
tion.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon
the Treasurer of Maryland, to pay to Samuel Riggs of R., of
Montgomery county, the sum of thirteen dollars and two cents
