county be and they are hereby authorized and directed, at their
next annual levy of taxes for said county, to levy for the use
of Anna T. Hays and Josephine Waring, executrixes of the
last will and testament of Rachel Waring, deceased, the sum
of thirty-six dollars and ten cents, being taxes paid in error by
them for the year eighteen hundred and ninety-one and
eighteen hundred and ninety-two.

To refund
taxes paid
in error.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 367.

AN ACT to amend the charter of "The Greenawalt Com-
pany," of Cumberland, Maryland.

Effective.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That in addition to the powers conferred on "The
Greeuawalt Company," of Cumberland, Maryland, by its
incorporation under the general incorporation laws of the
State of Maryland, approved by the Circuit Court for Alle-
gany county, respectively, on the thirteenth day of January,
eighteen hundred and ninety-one, and the eighth day of April,
eighteen hundred and ninety-two, be and it is hereby author-
ized and empowered to buy, sell, barter and otherwise deal in
dry goods and notions, and to carry on in this State the manu-
facture of all sorts of articles or products known as notions,
and to sell, transport and otherwise dispose of the said products,
and to carry on a general forwarding and warehousing business
in this State, and to acquire and dispose of novelties, inven-
tions and processes patented under the laws of the United
States, and to sell, lease and otherwise dispose of articles man-
ufactured under such patents, and to import and export from
and to foreign countries any and all of the things hereinbefore
mentioned.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
