CHAPTER 361.

AN ACT to repeal Section 275 of Article ten of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "Dorchester County," sub-titled
"Roads," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 275 of article ten of the Code of
Public Local Laws, titled "Dorchester County,'' sub-titled
"Roads," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so
as to read as follows:

SEC. 275.Be it enacted. That the supervisor shall perform
all the duties required of him in the repairing the roads, and
use all means at his command to place said public roads in the
best possible condition for the convenience of travelers and
persons passing over them with teams, the work thereon to be
done between the first day of April and the first day of Sep-
tember in each and every year, except such work as shall be
required to keep the bridges in repair and holes filled up, and

for such service the said supervisor shall be entitled to a com-
pensation of one dollar and twenty-five cents for each day he
is actually employed at such work; provided, however, that
the number of days for which the said supervisor, in each of
the several respective districts, shall be entitled to such com-
pensation, is left to the discretion of County Commissioners:
the said supervisors under this article to hold office for the
term of one year, commencing on the first day of January,
and ending on the thirty-first day of December in each and
every year, or until their successors are duly appointed and
qualified; provided, that the County Commissioners may at
any time remove said supervisor and appoint another to fill
the vacancy, when in their judgment it is to the interest of
the county that he shall be so removed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6th, 1894.
