CHAPTER 354.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 126
of Article 5 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Calvert County," sub-title "State's Attorney."

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted l)y the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 126 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Calvert County," sub-title "State's Attorney," be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows :

attorney.

126. Within thirty days before the levy term of each year
of the County Commissioners of Calvert county, the State's
attorney for said county shall make out and present to the
judges of the Circuit Court for Calvert county, or any one of
them, a full and accurate statement of all charges and claims
for work performed as State's attorney for the year ending at
the date of making such statement, and the said judges or
judge shall examine said statement and fix and determine what
shall be a proper and adequate compensation to the said State's
attorney for the work therein set forth, and shall certify the
said amount to the County Commissioners of Calvert county,
within ten days of said levy terms, to be levied at the next en-
suing levy for the use of the State's attorney; provided, that
in making such certificate the said judge or judges shall not
certify to a greater amount than the sum of eight hundred
dollars to be paid said State's attorney in any one year.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 355.

AN ACT to punish misconduct at primary elections in Cecil
County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of
Maryland, That any person in Cecil county, who shall do
anything at or about or in relation to the conduct or affecting
the conduct of any primary elections, which is now or may
hereafter be punishable as a crime when done at or about or in
relation to or affecting the conduct of any election regulated
