CHAPTER 326.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
twelve of Article forty-five of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Husband and Wife."

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section twelve of article forty-five of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Husband and Wife," be
and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as
follows :

Conveyances
of property
by married
women.

12. Any married woman, having arrived at the age of
eighteen years, may convey her real or personal property, if
her husband joins in the conveyance, whether the conveyance
be absolute or by way of mortgage, and she may execute and
acknowledge any deed, mortgage or bill of sale, or other
instrument of writing, in the same manner as other grantors or
bargainors, without any private examination or other cere-
mony; and she may, at whatever age she may be, relinquish
her dower in any real estate by the joint deed of herself and
husband or by her separate deed.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 327.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 141
of Article 16, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Montgomery County," sub-title "Poolsville," said sections
being the description of the corporate limits of said town,
which are hereby extended.

Repeal.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the corporate limits of Poolsville, Mont-
gomery county, be and the same are hereby extended, by the
repeal and re-enactment with amendments, which is hereby
done, of section 141 of article 16, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Montgomery County," sub title "Poolsville," so as
to read as follows :

141. The corporate limits of the town shall be as follows :
