bidder, from whom they shall require a good and sufficient
bond, for an amount and with a surety or sureties to be: by
them approved, conditioned to the faithful performance of the
said contract according to the plans and specifications adopted
and by them submitted to said contractor for that purpose,
provided that the whole cost of said building shall not exceed
the sum of one thousand dollars.

Effective.

SEC.2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved February 21st, 1894.

CHAPTER 33.

AN ACT to amend Article 5 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Appeals and Error," sub-title "Appeals "from
Courts of Law," by adding an additional section thereto, to
be designated as Section 10 A.

New section

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That article 5 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title "Appeals and Error," sub-title "Appeals from
Courts of Law," be and the same is hereby amended by add-
ing an additional section thereto, to follow section ten, and be
designated as section 10 A, and to read as follows :

Real unnecess-
sary.

10 A. It shall not be necessary for the judge who signs a.bill
of exceptions to affix his seal thereto.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 34.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners
of Frederick County to levy a sum of money to refund to
Mary S. Firor, executrix of the last will and testament of
Martin D. Firor, deceased, late of said, county, the amount
of taxes paid in error.

WHEREAS, Martin D. Firor, late of Frederick county, was
in his lifetime seized and possessed in fee simple of certain
