sums of not less than fifty dollars nor more than five hundred
dollars each, sealed with the corporate seal, signed by the
Burgess and countersigned by the clerk of the Board of Com-
missioners of said town, each of said bonds to be payable
thirty years after date, to bearer, redeemable, however, at the
pleasure or the said Burgess and Commissioners at anytime
after the expiration of ten years from their respective dates,
and to bear interest not exceeding five per cent, per annum,
payable annually by the Burgess of said municipal corporation
on presentation of interest coupons to be issued with the said
bonds.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the proceeds realized from
the issue and sale of said bonds shall be applied to the pay-
ment of the balance of the indebtedness incurred in the con-
struction of the said water works.

CHAPTER 32.
AN ACT to provide for the building of a school house for
colored children in Prince George's County.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of County School Commissioners
for Prince George's county be and they are hereby authorized
and directed, out of the surplus funds which they now have in
hand for the use of the colored schools for said county, to
erect and build, or cause to be erected and built, a new two-
room school house on the site and instead of school house
number one, district number fourteen, for colored children,
which shall be of sufficient size and dimensions to accommo-
date one hundred pupils. The manner of procedure of said
Board of County School Commissioners shall be as follows:
They shall determine on the dimensions and style of said
building, and the materials to be used therein, after which
they shall advertise for sealed bids, and in said advertisement
shall state when and where said bids shall be publicly opened,
and upon the opening thereof, shall award the contract for the
construction and erection thereof to the lowest responsible
