tracts of land, and was also seized and possessed, with his
brother, David T. Firor, as tenant in common, of two certain
tracts of real estate situated therein, containing in the aggregate
109 acres; fifty-seven and one-half acres of said 109 acres of
land were assessed to the said Martin D. Firor, individually,
together with his other property, upon which he paid the taxes
up to and including the year 1892; and

Preamble.

WHEREAS, The said 109 acres was afterwards, to wit, in
1876, a short time after former entry, assessed in the joint
names of Martin D. Firor, and David T. Firor, as tenant in
common, and taxes, upon more than one-half of said 109 acres
were paid by the said Martin D. Firor iu his lifetime, where-
fore the taxes paid by the said Martin D. Firor upon the fifty-
seven and one-half acres assessed to him, individually, and in
addition to the assessment as tenant in common as hereinbefore
set forth, were erroneously paid, and should be refunded to the
executrix of the said Martin D. Firor; therefore

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Frederick
county be and they are hereby authorized and directed to levy
for the use of Mary S. Firor, executrix of the last will and
testament of Martin D. Firor, late of Frederick county, the
sum of one .hundred and fourteen dollars and forty-six cents,
the amount of county taxes paid by the said Martin D. Firor,
in his lifetime, in error for the years 1877, 1878, 1879, 1880,
1881, 1882, 1883, 1884, 1885, 1886, 1887, 1888, 1889, 1890,
1891, 1892.


To pay claim.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That tins act shall take effect
from the day of its passage.

Approved February 21st, 1894.

Effective.

CHAPTER 35.

AN ACT to empower the County Commissioners of St. Mary's
County to levy a sum of money for the building of a school
house for colored children in Park Hall Section, Eighth
Election District of St. Mary's County.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of St Mary's
county be and they are hereby empowered and directed to
